This particular piece of typographic art is directly inspired by an image found in a fanzine called Forgotten Graphics, which collects old retro graphic designs around themes. In this particular instance it was labels for various fizzy drinks and Coca-Cola rip offs, also known in the UK as fizzy pop.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOne such example had the word 'pop' written onomatopoeically with a Roy Lichtenstein style explosion graphic behind it, and whilst I loved the image on its own, it occurred to me that it's the perfect representation of the style of art that I like and create - pop art. So I adapted the image to the colourful square canvas you see here.
