And if the parks have a boating lake then I'm even happier. This painting came to me after regularly seeing the kitsch swan-shaped boats you often see on boating lakes. I've spotted them everywhere from a trip to Rio, Brazil, to Hastings, Sussex, the nearest seaside town to my home. I love the idea of companies creating huge plastic swan-shaped boats rather than just normal ones - an idea that is quite 'pop art' in itself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"\u003eFor this canvas I chose to depict the boat against a UK park setting, on a sunny spring-like day.
