Usually I set my subjects against a sky blue background, but for this one I experimented with yellow which I think really makes the colours of the fruit pop from the canvas. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe two slices of watermelon were painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on a block canvas that's ready to hang. It can be displayed any way up, including diagonally, as pictured. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe end result is a small but bright and bold painting that would look great in any home, or serve as a great gift for the food lover in your life.
