I love creating inventive typography and fonts by hand like an old-school graphic designer. In this particular print, I’ve spelled out the words 'modern art' using letters inspired by some of my favourite modern artists or art movements.

The letters correspond as follows...

M = Jean Michel Basqiat
O = Yayoi Kusama
D = Keith Haring
E = David Hockney
R = Alexander Rodchenko and general Constructivism
N = Joan Miro

A = Roy Lichtenstein
R = Vincent Van Gogh / Impressionism
T = Piet Mondrian

The letters were all originally hand drawn and painted by me, before being scanned digitally and compiled into this print. The end result is an eye-catching tribute to of the greatest art of the last century, and would brighten up any room, or make a great gift for the art lover in your life. Printed by the Printspace in London, the Giclee print process creates a pleasing depth of colour and texture, for a high quality finish.
