This painting shows a cactus set against a zig-zag pastel coloured background. This is the third in a series of cactus paintings by me. I've always loved cactus plants and succulents but over the last few years in particular I feel like they've grown hugely in popularity. So I wanted to try to paint a few in my usual style, eschewing realism in favour of bold pop art and graphic styles.
The final photo shows some of the other cactus paintings available in my shop.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, and Patrick Caulfield, but also by modern graphic designers.
